In 2005 the federal government passed the Energy Policy Act that allows corporations to receive a tax deduction for the year they incorporate energy savings measures.  This Act has been reinstated under the new Economic Emergency Stabilization Act of 2008.  For lighting efficiency projects alone, the government is allowing you to deduct $0.60/sq. ft. as a depreciation expense the year you commission the energy saving measure.  Other efficient measures can add as much as $1.20/sq. ft. to the lighting deduction.  Send email to info@litelogix.com for more information and qualification.
