I have been looking for a putter that when the greens are fast or slow I can control the speed of the ball. I have tried a taylormade rossa daytona 6, ping b66 and a white ice odyssey saber tooth and the mizuno Bettinardi black carbon. Finally, I purchased the
Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2 Putter. I took it out to the course today up in Michigan and with an early tee time the practice greens were still real wet. Dropped the three balls down and started putting, first ball out about 10 feet with no break I laid out within 2 inches of the hole. the next two balls I hit with a medium and a hard break and came up with the same result. I was smiling ear to ear after that, so I kept hitting before we teed off. Got onto the actual greens and they were real fast but I was coming up with the same result. I read EVERY review on here and everyone says the same thing. "It's a Confidence builder"... Believe what you want but it's true. I love the
scotty cameron and will stop looking at putters now. I am set for the next few years!
Some details about it. On the one hand, the Studio Select line is the result of
scotty cameron putter research and their drive to create a putter collection with the finest technical performance and incredible overall feel. The precision milled the scotty cameron putter feature an improved high toe profile and heel and toe circular sole weights that allow for numerous length options in each model. On the other hand, the improved high toe profile of
putter scotty cameron helps eliminate the tendency to raise the toe at address thereby causing the player to aim left of target. Studio Select also features a stepless shaft for a clean look at address and soft but solid feel, as well as a new red Cameron cord grip.
